Welcome to my site! My name is Melanie and I am a mother to 3 wonderful children, a fitness coach, and a health warrior.
I’m originally from California, but I grew up in Florida and then Maryland. I enjoy art, reading, and going to see plays on Broadway.
Growing up, I led a pretty active lifestyle and exercised regularly. When I went off to college, I put on the dreaded Freshman 15…ok, make it the Freshman 30. I was miserable! So, in my junior year, I started following a plant-based diet and began working out. I lost a lot of weight and felt amazing. That year, I met the man who would be my husband.
In 2009, we found out I was pregnant with my first child! It was a hard pregnancy, and I stopped exercising but continued to eat well. Well, three kids later, I went off the deep end. My eating habits became atrociuos and exercise? Who had time for that! I looked for quick ways to make dinner, which meant a lot of processed food. I developed a sugar addiction, and I just had to drink soda everyday (ontop of having 3-4 cups of coffee). I was a mess.
After the birth of my third baby, I’d had enough. I was sluggish, bloated, tired all of the time, and had low self esteem. I decided to take charge of my health, joined Team Beach Body, and never looked back! I’ve lost over 30 pounds, feel great, have so much energy. Oh, and that soda and sugar addiction? Gone! I love this company and the products they make. I want to shout it from the rooftops! Everyone should experience an amazing and healthy life, which is why I became a coach. I want to help people find their confidence, to know that they can do it, and that it’s totally worth investing in themselves (like totes f’reals). I made a choice to live a healthier lifestyle both for myself and for my children. It’s your turn! Let me help you find your way to a healthy and happy life!
A few months ago, I came up with the concept of health warrior. A health warrior is someone who pushes themselves, doesn’t make excuses, and takes ownership of their lifestyles. It’s not about dropping pounds or dieting, it’s about feeling great and living a healthy lifestyle!
